Love UECIDE? Why not consider supporting the development?

Curiosity Board support

Salut,

are there any plans to support the MicroChip Curiosity Boards PIC32MX470 and PIC32MZEF?

I got me a sample of each one and wonder what IDE to use.

Ciao, Mathias

I don't even know what they are, but sure, I would love to be able to support them. I'll tap up my contact to see what I can get...

I have some coming, along with a limited edition Digilent motor driver board to play with.

Salut Matt,

excellent, I got the boards as I received an announcing mail from Microchip and as I wanted to look into MiKroE click boards as of your suggestion, I thought it was a good idea to get a copy. You can use me a guinea-pig for your code changes

Well, my MZ board has arrived - still waiting for the others.

I have managed to get it kind of going, but not perfectly. I lave LEDs blinking.

Because it has its own debugger on-board I need to write a special programmer for it, and that requires the most up to date mdb.jar file, which has a slightly different API, which is *very* helpful. No biggie though, just messy.

I don't have a proper linker script for it either. No bootloader means it can't use the chipKIT linker scripts which assume there is a bootloader there. I haven't worked out quite what needs to change in them. However, by not using any linker scripts at all it works - but things like EEPROM emulation won't work, since that relies on the chipKIT linker scripts.

I haven't done anything like PPS or analog input yet. I need to work out what maps where.

I've uploaded what I have so far to the repo so you can play with it.
