Arduino Ide theme
eporocrail:
It would be helpful for those people used to work with the Arduino Ide to start with a theme that mimics the Arduino Ide. The colour schemes used for the editor as they are right now are overwhelming. The risk exists that only because of this new users are scared off from using your Ide.
matt:
Do you mean the entire IDE "Look And Feel", or just the colours of the editor (text) area?
eporocrail:
The fonts and colours in the editing area as they are right now are too unclear for me. To heavy weight of the characters and too much colour for normal text. It is a bit over the top for me.
I understand that complete look and feel of the Arduino Ide is also over the top.

Ellard

If you want to design a new theme that better fits your needs I will be happy to include it in the themes page.
eporocrail:
I might give it a try
eporocrail:
I have something that gets close to Arduino. One thing which wonders me is that with colouring datatypes not all datatypes are coloured. Only char, unsigned long and int are. Byte boolean and string are not.
Anon:
byte
, boolean
and String
aren't standard C data types. The editor doesn't recognise them as such. There is support for "keywords.txt" in the cores (or there should be) but I don't currently bundle one (I used to, but have omitted that in the current core structure). I guess I should get round to updating them and adding the missing keywords.txt files...
Anon:
Seems I had also broken the background services system with the refactoring for Java 9+ ... So it wasn't loading keywords anyway...

I will be patient and go along working with your IDE. I already saw some things which are an advantage compared with the Arduino IDE.
